Carbide Brazed Mandrels
Standard finished brazed type mandrels are manufactured from standard or custom made mandrel blanks. The carbide mandrel nib is brazed to a steel shank with the steel end drilled and tapped for attachment to the draw bench rod. Lubrication holes are sometimes drilled in the shank for pumping lubricant to the working areas during the tube drawing process. Brazed type mandrels can be finished as straight or tapered, round, hexagon, square, rectangle, or special shapes. Semi-floating type are also available.
Straight Mandrels
Standard finished brazed type mandrels with straight outside diameter are manufactured from our large inventory of mandrel blanks or custom made mandrel blanks. The overall length of the mandrel can be standard or made to customer requirements. Brazed type straight mandrels are finished as round, hexagon, square, rectangle, or special shapes.

Tapered Mandrels
Standard finished brazed type mandrels with a tapered outside diameter are manufactured from our large inventory of mandrel blanks or custom made mandrel blanks. The overall length of the mandrel can be standard or made to customer requirements. Brazed type tapered mandrels are finished as round, hexagon, square, rectangle or special shapes.
Semi-Floating Mandrels
Finished semi-floating brazed type mandrels are manufactured to customer requirements. This type of mandrel offers some of the advantages of a floating plug when drawing tubing on a draw bench. The overall length of the mandrel is made as required. Semi-floating brazed type mandrels are typically round.
Special Shape Mandrels
Brazed type special shape mandrels are manufactured from our large inventory of mandrel blanks or custom made mandrel blanks. The overall length of the mandrel can be standard or made to customer requirements. The steel shank can be manufactured shaped or round.
